
Giovanni Rustanto is a director, writer, and all-around film lover based in Czech Republic and Indonesia. Dealing with themes of religion, youth, and memory, his films see the lives of humans in a different perspective. Robert Bresson, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Ingmar Bergman are among his biggest influences.
His works include short films Raja (2015), Maria (2018), and Red Ribbon (2018), all of which have been selected and nominated in several film festivals, including Bucharest ShortCut CineFest and Top Indie Film Festival. Currently finishing his next short film.
